Thank You For Letting Me Get The Groceries For You, Dad

Last November my dad got diagnosed with a severe disease. In January, he underwent an unsuccessful surgery. In March, quarantine started, and also his daily visits to the hospital to receive treatment.

It’s been a tough couple of months, for the world and my family.

My parents are divorced so I live with my mom, a block away from my dad’s house. I considered staying at his but that would only mean more chances for me to contaminate him with this damn virus.

He is taking care as much as he can when he goes to the hospital. Thankfully those are short visits and the wing of the hospital where he is at is far away from the ICUs and emergency services.

I go every week to buy him groceries, medicines, and provide him with enough alcohol, gloves, and face masks to keep him safe.

I’ve told him and sent him all the measures to take care of himself.

Remove your shoes, clean them, or put them out on the terrace for the sun to disinfect them. Clean everything when you get home. Change clothes. Wash your hands. Clean your phone and cards. Wash your fruits and veggies with a bit of Clorox. Sit on
